James' s Birthday Dinner

At the end of July was James' s birthday and for dinner we went out to Hog's Breath Rockingham where we booked at a table for 7.30pm however had to wait in the bar until almost 9pm when we finally got seated. Whilst waiting we ordered a few cocktails at the bar (my favourite was the Long Island Iced Tea) and for all the patrons waiting in the bar some free/complimentary nibbles were brought out to us which helped keep us content until seated.

Our meals were served suprisingly really quickly considering how busy it was and the food was absolutely delicious and huge portions!

I ordered the Barra and Prawns and changed my chips to a salad (I'm not the biggest fan of chips and find I never eat them when I get meals from restaurants as I find them way to filling and bloat me). The piece of fish was huge! As you can see it took up half of my plate and it tasted absolutely fantastic! And the dressing on that salad was just Yum! Totally worth the wait and money!

James ordered the BBQ Ribs and Steak, I ate a piece of the steak and it was cooked to purrrrfection well done Hog's Breath! Even James struggled to get through this meal and he said by far this is his favourite from Hog's Breath!

The waiters were fantastic to us, especially Ashton. They gave him pictures to colour in which kept him entertained whilst he waited for his drink and meal in which didn't take long at all to get to the table. He ordered the Cheeseburger with Curly Fries Kids Meal which came with soft drink. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal and loved colouring in the pictures.

And of course to top the night off I suprised James with a delicious Mud Cake from Cake-O-Licious Port Kennedy in which the waiters brought out singing Happy Birthday to James which was a real treat to watch and join in.

All in all James had a great night which was the main thing. Hog's Breath although you were super busy and we did have to wait almost an hour and a half for our table you did very well to keep us happy whilst we waited and made the dining experience worth the wait. And Cake-O-Licious what a delicious moist chocolate cake this was, not too sweet and an absolute delight to eat!

I highly recommend for anyone to try out both places.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!!!!

Nerdburger Jewellery

So I received a scrumptious package from Nerdburger Jewellery this last week.
Opening the package was such a treat! I felt a lot of thought was put into this package from the cool comic address label to the cut out comic hearts and not to mention the detail on the items I received!

My personal favourite is the scrumptious lolly pop necklace that is so well made I wish I could eat it! Cute colours with a cute bow and little diamantes on a nice long chain, it is my new favourite piece of jewellery!

Then there is the huge doughnut bow! Wow what personality this has! Very well made, well sewn together and so much thought put into the detail! I love the exaggerated size of the bow it makes it super fun!

I have a photoshoot coming up wearing my new Nerdburger accessories that I can't wait to show you all so keep an eye out!

Truffle Festival Fremantle

So catching up on what we have been up to since coming to Perth, a few weekends ago we decided to go to Fremantle for the Truffle Festival at the Fremantle Markets. I had always wanted to try Truffle so was super excited about going but it was pouring down with rain on the day so a lot of the stall holders that were supposed to be there were not. But the few that were plus all the other regular stalls and activities made the day super fun still.

What is Truffle? Truffle is a type of fungus that is highly admired in some countries and can be quite expensive to get a hold of - A kitchen's delicacy.

This picture is of the absolutely delicious Truffle and ricotta ravioli with fresh parmesan and truffle shavings that we ate, it was so good! The most yummiest tasting ravioli I have ever had and look how much we got for only $8!  It had a beautiful earthy flavour that added a delectable bite to the cheesy ravioli. If you haven't tried truffle before I highly recommend giving it a go! Both my partner and son loved it also!

Spotlight Shop! So originally I went to Spotlight today because I got a pattern for a gorgeous 3/4 Sleeve Cardigan from a fellow blogger and Spotlight had none of the materials I needed but they did have a huge sale on wool! So as you can see I have a few knitting projects ahead of me! Keep an eye out on my blog for finished projects :)
I love to knit, I have been doing so for as long as I remember, I think I started knitting when I was about 6 years old! I only usually do knitting during the Winter these days as I find it nice and relaxing when cooped up inside on a cold night watching tele... and best of all it keeps my hands nice and cosy warm!
