Perth Royal Show

Last school holidays Ash and I had a fun mum and son day out at the Perth Royal Show. To save time and money we took the trains straight to the show.

It was fantastic as they had trains especially going straight to the show and best thing of all it took us right to the front gates!

It was soo much fun! You can't go to a show and not get a show bag! So Ash got a super cool Adventure time show bag in which was a real back pack bag that is reversible so you can choose to have either Adventure Time characters Finn or Jake and it was packed full of cool Adventure Time Merchandise!  I got the Caramello Koala show bag and I got this Cherry Ripe show bag for James because he couldn't come to the show with us and Cherry Ripes are his ultimate favourite! !

There were heaps of people dressed up in cool costumes, including these cool storm troopers....

..... this creepy girl....

..... these are just some of the characters from one of the horror rides....

..... they had heaps of scary looking people....

..... but not scary enough to scare Ash away!

There was soo much to do! Lots of fun rides, games and of course food! This cheeseburger Ash had I just had to try, at $9.50 I had to make sure it was a good burger and it sure was!

Mmmm show food is really the best!

Super Buttered Popcorn.... YUMO!

Here are some of my favourite tasting sites. I loved the huge variety of salamis at this site by Butch's Smallgoods. I couldn't resist and just had to bring James home something from here so I got him a Csabai Hungarian Salami. So delicious and moist and punching full of flavour! This was a mild salami but they had all sorts from mild to firey hot! You can order any of their delicious foods online, website included at the end of this blog post.

This site, Gourmet Morsels, had some of the most divine flavoured spices and dukkah. Helping to make your life easier in the kitchen whilst being packed full of flavour. Both Ash and I's favourite was the Macadamia & Lemon Myrtle Dukkah. You can purchase their products online (website included at the bottom of this blog post). I look forward to trying their products in the kitchen myself!

And of course anyone who knows me knows how much I love my tea! So of course I couldn't walk past the Kenteco site without stopping in and trying their available flavours where their "Boost" flavour was the winner for me. Fruity, relaxing yet energizing at the same time. And of course you can order online and the website is at the bottom on this blog post.

It's not a show purfect day without some candy floss/cotton candy and they literally sold it by the bucket load! Yum!

It was such a fun day! But soo tiring! We did not manage to stay for the fire works and there was soo much more we would of loved to of done but luckily there is always next year! And if you haven't managed to go yet I highly recommend it in the years to come!  <3 <3 <3 <3

Easy Honey Soy Chicken Wraps or Pita Sandwiches

This is a tasty easy light meal perfect for those upcoming hot Summer days!

Ingredients

- x2 Chicken Breasts Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Premium Soy Sauce
- 1/4 - 1/3 Cup of Honey (Add to your sweet liking) ;)
- 1/4 teaspoon Minced Garlic
- x6 Tortilla Wraps or Pita Pockets
- Your favorite toppings and sauces. I use mixed lettuce and baby spinach, red onion, red capsicum, carrot, tomato, cheese, sweet chilli sauce and tzatziki.

In a small bowl or measuring jug whisk well together soy, honey and garlic to make marinade.

Add the marinade to a large bowl with the chicken making sure the chicken is completely covered in the marinade and leave it to marinate in fridge for 30 minutes.

Once it has been marinating in the fridge for 30 minutes, on a stove top turn an element onto a medium to high heat and add chicken marinade to fry pan. Only stirring every now and then and allowing the sauce to bubble.

Until it eventually turns in a gorgeous dark sticky sauce and the chicken is cooked right through.

Add the tasty Honey Soy Chicken with your favorite toppings and sauces.....

.....To tortilla wraps or pita pockets.

Sevres 3 - 4 people.

I hope you enjoy this super easy recipe!!!

JAWS Sushi - Sushi Train in the City

One of our favourite places to go in the city is JAWS Sushi.

They have a huge variety of sushi, sashimi, tempura and sweet treats including creme brulee and  different flavours of ice-cream mochi.

And if there is something on the menu that is not going around on the train just ask and they will make it right then and there for you.

I have been to JAWS Sushi many times now and every time I go I feel so satisfied, it is certainly worth the trip. Just rock up and wait to be seated, which does not take very long, although it seems to always be packed and busy it is a very fast paced sushi restaurant so you do get a table very quickly. There is such a variety that there is certainly something for everyone. I have taken my son there a couple times now and it is certainly fun for the whole family. Or even just a catch up with friends, or a quick delicious meal for the busy office worker in the city. Dishes range in price depending on the colour of the plate.
I love having many types of flavours to try in one sitting instead of just one flavour and these guys at JAWS Sushi certainly put alot of flavour and variety into their restaurant

So next time your in Perth City and have a craving for sushi stop into JAWS Sushi.
NOTE: Not open for dinner.

My Little Spiderman's 8th Birthday

It was Ash's 8th Birthday Last week!

He got out in his favourite Spiderman costume.

And had a blast playing with the Spiderman Web Shooter James gave him.

I made his favourite for dinner... A Mexican feast!

And A Spiderman cake for a Spiderman fan!

Ash had a blast for a Birthday and thank you to all of those who helped make it so special for him, you all know who you are :)

Our Anniversary 2014

It was James and I's Anniversary last week!

And we went out to beautiful Fremantle.

We had dinner at Joe's Fish Shack on Fremantle's water front.

Celebration drinks! James had the yummiest Lemon Lime Bitters either of us had ever tried! I had a Brown Brother's Riesling.

I got the Joe's grilled seafood platter for one. Those mussels were to die for that is If you like spicy food, I love spicy food and the sauce that was with those mussels were super delicious as well as super spicy! I could not finish this meal though there was just sooo much food! I really enjoyed the stuff squid and fish too, usually prawns are my favourite but on this dish the star was the mussels.
James got the Joe's seafood platter for one, that comes with a piece of battered fish, battered squid, chips, salad and a stuffed prawn that James just loved! He said he could just eat and eat and eat those stuffed prawns they were that delicious. Unfortunately I didn't getting to sneak a try.
And the service at Joe's Fish Shack was fantastic!

For dessert we went to Freo Ice-creams and Waffles. We both ordered the half waffle with maple syrup and strawberry ice-cream plus James got cream.

I don't like cream unless its from a can so I got mine without cream. This place a super delicious! I am hooked to waffles now! And it was much cheaper than if we were to get dessert from a restaurant infact for both of our waffles together would not of been the price of one dessert from the restaurant we had dinner at.

All in all James and I had a wonderful Anniversary Celebration! I love you James and I look forward to many more years with you!
